The works of Canadian artist Michelle Montague combine the influences of abstract and expressionism art. Always influenced by the environment and life experiences it was from an early age that the artist started using the artistic medium of drawing and painting to depict compelling stories of the otherworld. Having spent her formative years in Edmonton and Windsor, Montague returned to Toronto in 1996, her place of birth. She has a BFA in Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) as well as an educational background in Marketing Management from Centennial College. Montague has exhibited in partnership with the Canadian Human Rights Commission, in addition to select galleries in the Greater Toronto Area and more recently the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). She is currently living and working in Toronto Canada.
